Jim Younkin and Chuck Bilbe are the principals at TruTrak. Jim Younkin is well known as the builder of his replica Mr. Mulligan. In the late 1950's Jim developed the first miniaturized solid-state gyro system, which eventually replaced the surplus gyros that were being installed in new general aviation aircraft. Chuck Bilbe began his engineering career at NCR as a designer of military electronics. Over the years, Chuck has worked for King Radio Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, and Sun Microsystems, on a wide variety of hardward and software development projects. After many years, Chuck became interested in flying, and began developing touchscreen drivers for in-flight computers, moving-map software, navigation programs and high-speed photorealistic graphic software for PCs. Now, Chuck works with Jim designing and developing the microprocessor system and software for TruTrak autopilot products. As TruTrak's exclusive Sailplane OEM Dealer, OxAero is primarily concerned with presenting their wonderful solid-state turn coordinator to the soaring community.
