This model provides FlipUp filtered lenses over prescription lenses. It ships with plastic templates for the prescription lenses. You take the frames to your optometrist who supplies the prescription lenses, mounts them in the frames and adjusts the frames to fit you properly. The hinged, tinted lenses are permanently attached.
