| This is a 2-conductor foil-shielded cable with tough dark-gray vinyl outer insulation. It has two insulated 24 AWG conductors (red and black) plus a bare stranded wire in contact with the shield for external connection. The overall thickness is about 1/8” (actually 0.115”). This cable is fairly stiff, so it is best used in applications that do not involve movement. |

This connector is polarized by having one blade wider than the other. Most people assign the wide blade to the positive side of the battery. This connector should also be used on the battery charger too. If a trickle charger is used and if there are two batteries, the charger can always be plugged into one battery. Otherwise, the charger can simply be turned off when not in use. |
